Financial Aid

FINANCIAL AID AND SCHOLARSHIPS

The biggest myth about financial aid is that many seem to think they will not get assistance because their income is too high.  That may or may not be true. However, it is true that you/your child could get a full scholarship even if the family income is over $500,000.

Filing for financial aid is a personal decision that should be discussed with a financial aid professional.
Each college has their own formula for determining need. An
accountant can identify new tax laws, savings plans, and other deductions pertaining to higher education.  However, many accountants are not as familiar with the Federal Methodology used in filling in financial aid applications and might not be as well versed in all the areas of financial aid programs, forms and scholarships.
